Business relationships are the cornerstone of just about all of our marketing efforts, which is why we should give plenty of attention to them. Our marketing endeavors always depend largely on our ability to foster good relationships and to gain loyal customers who give us repeat business. Even when you're just a one person operation, you can create a customer service department that has its own email address. Put a link to customer service on your website even that link is just for email. You need to make sure that you do everything you can to play the part of a professional customer service agent. Everyone has had to work through bad customer service, like trying to talk to a person who isn't actually helpful at all. If there is a problem and it is your fault, do not try to hide that fact. Mistakes are easier to forgive when the people who make them own up to what they've done.

When was the last time you sat down and read a book about building customer and business relationships that was written by an expert in the field? Don't think of this as a criticism; it is only meant to highlight that you can do more and get more done. It's a really great idea to find a book about this subject that was written by a credible expert and then learn everything you can from that person. We can promise you that you will have your eyes opened wide when you see just how broad this subject can be. Plus, you will walk away with more than a few excellent ideas you can use in your own business.

You can't become very successful in your business if you don't build good relationships along the way. Relationships are especially critical when it comes to email marketing, as just blasting promotional emails to your list doesn't work. Email marketing has to be about connecting with your prospects, not merely trying to sell them products. Naturally, if you want to benefit from these methods you have to take some extra time to put them into practice. Taking this kind of action, however, is what can separate you from the competition and take your business to the next level. If you do more, then eventually all that will turn in your favor.
