So you want to start getting visitors to your website? This is a question that all new website owners have. They have something to share with the world and they want to know the best way to get the word out. This is what I do.

When I first started my website business, I didn’t have any leads. So what I did was to create a cool product and I talked to other people that had a mailing list. I’d work out some sort of joint venture with them. This way I was using someone else’s list and building up mine in the process.

That is what I did, but you can go about doing things differently. You could go the SEO route and get visitors from the search engines or do some sort of pay per click to build up your list that way.

What kind of assets are you currently working with? Hiring an expert that has already been in your shoes can be another route to go. This next step works really well. If you want to find out if someone is going to like what you have to offer right away, you can always do a pay per click ad campaign. People will either like what you have or they won’t.

Let’s say you want to go the SEO basics route, then write up some articles and submit them to the article directories. Concentrate on picking a few keywords that work well for your business and anchor then in your signature. You can always contact other businesses and ask them if they would be interested in doing a link swap. Find others that are in your niche.
